The House of God Is Destroyed

⁸ On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Nebuzaradan came to Jerusalem. He was the captain of the soldiers, a servant of the king of Babylon. ⁹ He burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire. ¹⁰ And all the Babylonian army who were with the captain of the soldiers broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
