The House of God Is Destroyed

On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Nebuzaradan came to Jerusalem. He was the captain of the soldiers, a servant of the king of Babylon. He burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire. 10 And all the Babylonian army who were with the captain of the soldiers broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
